EPD Certification: a concrete tool to address climate change

Climate change is a global challenge, driven largely by greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production and consumption of goods. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide a transparent, standardized way to quantify a product’s environmental impact across its entire life cycle, based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies in accordance with ISO 14025 and ISO 14040/44.

A key indicator included in EPDs is Global Warming Potential (GWP), which measures greenhouse gas emissions expressed as CO₂ equivalents. This parameter makes it possible to identify the life-cycle stages with the greatest climate impact and to implement targeted strategies to reduce emissions.
